Nashville Day #3

We saved the best for last. We went to the Ryman Auditorium, original home of the Grand Ole Opry. It was pretty neat to be surrounded by that much history. Since Vince Gill and Amy Grant were performing there tonight, they wouldn't let us on the stage. We had tried to get tickets to their show, but they were sold out in October when we set this trip up! I did get a shot of Minnie Pearl's hat and some other memorabilia.
Tonight we went to the Rockette's Christmas show, which was absolutely wonderful! (No photography allowed-bummer!) It ended with a live Nativity and "One Solitary Life." It was a beautiful recreation of the Nativity complete with sheep, camels, and a donkey. To top it all off, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, and other family members were seated five rows ahead and to the left of us in the auditorium. Nicole Kidman is a porcelain doll--just beautiful.
So from Minnie Pearl to the Rockettes and Nicole Kidman, it was a fun day. And the perfect way to end our trip.
