Someone asked what I have been reading this summer. My reading has been erratic and diverse. It is a strange collection of titles.
  • Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series. (I think there were 8 books in all.)
  • Resilience by Elizabeth Edwards
  • Mayada- Daughter of Iraq by Jean Sasson
  • The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith
  • Finger Lickin' Fifteen by Janet Evanovich
  • Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber
  • Sex and the City by Candace Bushnell

In my stack of things yet to read:

  • Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
  • Just Listen by Sarah Dessen (young adult title that might go in the classroom library)
  • Tears of the Griaffe by Alexander Smith McCall (2nd in the series)
  • Dune Road by Jane Green
  • Life of Pi by Yann Martel
  • Snobs by Julian Fellowes
  • The Odyssey by Homer (Yes, for school purposes!)

I am wanting to read The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger but I haven't checked it out or purchased it yet. I have a pretty long wish list, too!

And this week I have had almost no time to read. I plan to make up for that next week!

You will love Life of Pi (or at least I did!) I read it last summer! It's a great book to talk to people about, unfortunately when I read it, I didn't know anyone else who'd read it.

Also, I'm reading Sex and the City too!!! And I'm re-reading My Sister's Keeper... I'll probably move to some children's classic books soon too!

Thanks for sharing... Going to have to check out some of the titles on your list!

I also have Life of Pi on my list. I am reading Breakfast at Sally's by Richard LeMieux- an autobiography of a homeless man.

I just finished Firefly Lane by Kriten Hannah and The Year of Pleasures by Eliz Berg and both were well worth your reading while. I love to read!!! Are you on Goodreads??? Relyn and I are... you could be my friend there too and we could share book reviews! Many Blessings, Katie

If you haven't already, I'd recommend Lost in the City...I was surprised at how much I enjoyed that collection of short stories...and i've always wondered what teaching The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time would be like...
