You want to see what happened to plants in our area this weekend? This was the pot that I didn't move inside. Quite lovely isn't it? A few geraniums are hanging on. I figured maybe the pumpkins would offset the dead! The pumpkins are courtesy of Dad's garden. He takes off for the weekend and the vultures swoop in. Peppers, jalapenos, and pumpkins were nabbed. (It sounds bad, but he actually gave us permission and then called to complain that we didn't take enough!)

Looking at that picture above, I'm guessing that maybe I am out of the running for "Yard of the Week."

I think your yard looks much more in the Halloween spirit with dead plants! We had a light frost this weekend so things are dying here, too.
I'm so sorry but it made me giggle.
I agree, the dead plants are so very Halloweeny!
heh, heh, I said weeny.
About 3 weeks ago the sweet peas that I had put in as seeds finally started blooming, 2 days later it froze & they were dead. Amazing what a night of frost will do to our summer's hard labour!
I love how ready for Halloween your yard is!
Those pumpkins are gorgeous, so vibrant!

cut it all back cover it well with leaves it will come back in the spring...that is what I do....
Thanks, Elk! I'll try it!
My son in Vermont woke to snow today. It looks like we're gonna have a cold winter.
My planters of deadness are out there in the dark right now, waiting for me to something about it. No pumpkins on my stoop, yet. Kids smash them on the weekends. That is just plain naughty.
I actually really like the photo with the little pumpkins - I think it is really attractive. Even if you dont win "Yard of the Week" you get my vote for photo of the week :)
