From the moment we arrived, it was almost as if B had ordered a perfect weekend. We were probably a week late for prime fall foliage, but it didn't matter when you had these colors greeting you.I loved the sunrise over the lake...
the view from B's deck...
the time to relax and
to watch the fishermen headed out.

what a joy to see light from the world outside and the three of you~
That sounds like a great weekend! I love your photos and that is a sweet one of the three of you.
It's a very rare treasure when people stay in touch and remain friends for that long. I really enjoyed your pictures.
Beautiful photos! It looked like a wonderful weekend for sure.
I agree with Debbie, its rare and special to stay in touch that long. The only person who knew me as a teenager is Dagmar, and even that was from half a world away.
Thank-you for your explanation of Dippin Dots...they sound kind of like Dibs...which is little bite sized squares of white ice cream coated in chocolate.
And oh, I love the colours of that first photo!
Surrounded by beauty ... both inner and outer.
This looks so wonderful! I hope I can have a tradition like this years from now with my best friends!
PS: I love the last few lines :) Makes me smile!
Well that just kind of choked me up.
That place is gorgeous!
Looks like a wonderful time. I haven't stayed in touch with any friends from high school or college, so know not what this is like. At least I have my sisters.
You haven't said anything about "The Assignment"
Oh, you did get some amazing images. And, what a wonderful time you had. There is no blessing like time with old friends, is there?
I am CRACKIN UP over the boys and reading glasses!!! Sounds like a perfect weekend. Glad you got to get away!
Sounds and looks like you had a wonderful time.
