Only In Tiny Town USA

This one is too good not to share.

For a couple of years now, computer sites that teachers and students want to access are blocked by our school filter. I'm not talking about Facebook or youtube. Of course, those are blocked. I'm talking about research sites, classroom blogs, etc. It is pretty irritating at times.

Today, the Superintendent of Schools sent us all an email with a really nice "wish you a Merry Christmas" and a link to a Christmas greeting: the jib jab site where Central Office had elfed themselves. I clicked on the link. AND.IT.WAS.BLOCKED!! Yep, our Christmas card from the boss was blocked.

Is it wrong that I laughed so hard while my students were taking their final that I had to put my head down on my desk? I was bawling. And a Merry Christmas to you, too!

Only in Tiny Town, USA!

I am so sorry...but that just cracks(like laugh out loud and then some) me up! Did you share with the kids what you were laughing at or did you let them wonder?

I just shake my head at grown-ups when things like this happen!

The kids thought I was losing it, so I told them. (They have been so frustrated when sites they needed for research were blocked and they would have to go home to access them.) They got a good chuckle out of it, too. It happened last hour, so we left for break laughing!

I guess the only ones who could see it were the administrators--different filters for them!

What an ironic thing! I love it. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Oh, that is so funny! I hope all of the teachers emailed administration and told them!
