Snow Day #3 Tomorrow

At 5:30 today, they made the decision to call off school again for tomorrow. The country roads are still drifting, and some weren't cleared. The temperatures are a concern for the students in Trailer School.

Scrambling to rearrange lesson plans and the days before finals is a primary concern. I'm not complaining, though. In fact, for the people who are complaining about us being out of school again, I'd say that they should come walk the "hallways" with our students every hour. I have a feeling they would be changing their tune.

I'm grateful we have an administration that is concerned about the safety of our students, even if it does screw up my lesson planning for this semester!

I know our kids look at the thermometer every morning during a cold snap....if its -32 (celcius) the buses don't run, and although the school is open, not many kids show up. (I think that's about -23 in fahrenheit.)
Keep your tootsies warm!

Enjoy the gift of time! We are a 2 hour delay...and that's ok. I have some little guys who are probably ready to come to school--and I am sure their parents are ready for them to go to school, too!

Now up here in snow country, all we have so far is a prediction. The weather reporters keep reporting that it's gonna be baaad. But nothing big is happening. Not much wind, not much snow. Not many school closings. But the prediction now is that it will come in the night and tomorrow until 4 pm. Pilgrim's flight is still scheduled for on time, so we'll see.... Enjoy snow day #3! Fash is definately hoping for one (she has her outsourced classes on Thurs.)

Enjoy the time to yourself. I am sure it will be over soon enough. When do your kids break up. Mine have just finished for the year.

We've only had a small dusting, but I'm not complaining one bit. The temps are in the sigle digits and the winds have been high. Today seems like a calmer day. Enjoy your time off. Crank up the heat, get a good book, and enjoy a warm cup of your favorite beverage. What could be better?

Wow, enjoy some hot chocolate and curl up on that couch! Woo hoo! Three days off! The husband is in Minnesota right now and he just called to say it's 6 below zero. I love the snow and cold but not that much. Have fun at home!
