Winter Break- Almost Over

It's been snowing.  Of course it has!  This is the last day of vacation.  Trailer High students will get to walk their sidewalk hallways in snow or slush.  It is also freezing cold.  I'm predicting cranky, frozen kids tomorrow.

Today is all about football and getting ready to go back to school.  That means the Mr. is watching football, and I'm working at school.

I've got lesson plans to finalize and seating charts to make for the new semester.  I have the same kids; they'll just be in different hours.  My lesson plans have undergone a change over vacation.  Seems our video time capsule is going to be a journalism project this semester, so I probably should get the students started on that fairly soon after returning.

Tomorrow when the alarm goes off, I will have a hard time waking up.  I've enjoyed sleeping until 7:30 all break.  On school days, I am usually at school by 7:20.  *sigh*  I'm going to miss my warm bed and lazy mornings.

I complain, but I really love going back to school after Christmas.  My guess is that a lot of our students at trailer high received warm, CrAzY hats for gifts--and there will probably be a lot of new coats, scarves, mittens, and boots, too.  I have a hunch they are going to need them.

And so our new year will begin the same as the old one ended:  snowy and cold, with cranky teachers students.  :)

Sigh. My kids and I have been sleeping really late and staying up really late during the break. 6:15am is not going to be pretty for us tomorrow morning! Good luck to you with the cranky students!

It's going to be interesting tomorrow morning at 6:00 am! I know it must be hard to get back in the groove.

What a dreadful thought. My children still have a few weeks off yet - so I am also enjoying the sleep ins. I will be thinking of you.

I've been so busy doing nothing much that I haven't been around to visit my friends in too long. So, though my wishes are late, I mean them with my whole heart. May your year be filled with laughter. May all your surprises be happy ones. May you remember to count your blessings. May you know each day how very much you are loved. Happy new year, my friend.
