Sweet End to February

I had some problems help writing this blog. Actually, I had "help" doing almost everything on computer.

I guess he was proofreading.

Baxter has added a whole level of fun to Easy Street. He wrestles his stuffed lamb and frequently gets the pin. (Though there were a couple of times that the lamb had him on his back-- scrambling!)
I'm pretty sure that biting isn't allowed in wrestling.

Baxter has had some visitors, and he has learned to make himself at home and treat company like family.
Yep, if you're not going to hold him--he'll find a way to snuggle in anyway!

The first 24 hours have been pretty much smooth sailing. We've discovered if we cover him with an old sweater, he sleeps better. He's slept in his kennel for a couple hours, finally decided it was OK to eat here, and has potty trained us fairly well! We've only had one small puddle (not on carpet) when he was trying to get out the front door to go. His owners weren't paying close enough attention (breakfast and laundry), and he headed where he knew they took him out. Smart little guy, our Baxter. I say that, but then I have to confess that he chases leaves outside, and when the wind stirs them-- he jumps like they are alive. Weird and pretty funny.

In one short day, he is one of the family: the little furball of fun. I like these sleepy days and all the snuggling, but I know they won't last long! I'm enjoying it while I can. Kids and puppies, they all grow up too fast!
Do I look like I'm worried about school and testing??
Nope! It's the last day of February.
I'm enjoying it!

"Kids and puppies, they all grow up too fast." Too true! I.T. pulled a Heidi and shed a few tears at "Annie" rehearsal last night (I understand- wasn't there to witness it) as he realized this is her last high school show and our last high school show w/a child in a leading role- or any role.

I think I'm gonna hafta get a puppy!!
