Baxter, Baxter, Baxter

The pooch and his biting (I know.  He's just a baby!) are driving me crazy.  He doesn't gnaw on furniture.  (Knock on wood!)  His favorite things to bite:  toes and hands.  He is also fond of pant legs.  He keeps grabbing hold of my pants as I try to walk.  He also loves tearing into newspapers.

He has bones, balls, squeak toys, and stuffed animals.  They've all been mauled by Mr. B.  His brush has been chewed extensively.  Still, his favorite munch is hands, ankles, toes, and an occasional chin.  Disciplining the biting is exhausting.  It's a good thing the little guy is cute.

Puppies!!! They do outgrow most of it----If you are consistant in your correction most things will be overcome. But no matter how hard I tried, I could never break our first dog of chewing our socks. She finally trained us. We never left socks at a height she could reach and I kept my laundry door shut. I finally tied 2 old socks together. That was her favorite chew toy...even over all of the cute store bought toys. But all in all, she quit chewing on all of the other forbidden things. Hang in there! You'll get there.

Holy Lord. Insert "LC" for Baxter and I could post the same thing.

Let me know what intervention works. If you decide to go with the "bite him back" disciplinary approach, send him over. Barney and Roobie will be more than delighted by the arrival of your sacrificial lamb. They've both met their thresholds when it comes to crunches from Pudge.

Love, love, love you l'il B.

Oh, I remember those days with my Cooper. As soon as he loses his baby teeth, it will disappear like magic! Cooper used to love to bite our noses...you have no idea how many times I had to explain those cuts. :) Be good, Baxter, and mind your Mama!

He is just soooo cute! You're lucky he doesn't chew the furniture...we had a dog that did...gave him to my sister. He was perfect for her!

Oh he is so adorable, don't be mad. I don't know whether you have them where you live, but you could try him on those bones made from hide. They keep them busy for hours. Have a great weekend.

Timmy wasn't a terrible biter when he was a puppy, but Polly was. My daughter was the only one of my three kids that was brave enough to play with Polly when she was a pup! Hope Baxter loses his baby teeth soon!
