Thank You Very Much

Mary at Life in a Small Town has done this for the last few weeks, and I have enjoyed reading this approach to life's irritants.  She links up at The Daily Dribbles, so this week I am playing along, too.

1.  To my doctor: I'm so glad I have had all these medical tests and have yet to find out the results.  And yes, the first bill for the tests arrived even before I've received the results.  Lovely, just lovely.  Then,  I can't run until I find out the test results.  Being a couch potato comes naturally to me already.  Thank you for allowing me to go with my strengths!

2.  To this cold: I have loved blowing my nose about ten times an hour.  I am on day 12 right now.  I like the bad breath, the red tint to my nose, and the fact that I now really appreciate breathing!

3. To Baxter the shih poo pup: I don't know what happens at 3:45 AM, but it is so nice of you to wake us up to enjoy it with you.  We don't really need much sleep.  We enjoy the "quality" time when we can't keep our eyes open.  It is thoughtful of you to help us appreciate the stars and phases of the moon, while we try to convince you to do your business.  You are such a thoughtful little thing.

Now that I got that off my chest, on to the matinee of the new Sex and the City movie with K and L, and then a weekend of camping.   Happy Thursday!

I was so excited about your TYVM that I forgot to comment!
I can't believe you got the bill before your test...the billing dept. out there must be a lot faster than the ones here. I'm sure you can't look at Baxter without loving him a little bit...even at 3:45 in the morning!
Hope you start feeling better so you can enjoy camping! Have a great time!

Hope those tests all come back negative and you can get back out on the road again! I am finding there are times when I actually enjoy the running! Give Baxter a few months. We were wondering this same thing with Harry and now he is giving us a good 8 hours at night. Sounds like a fun weekend!

Amazing that you got the bill before the test. I just got billed for something that was over 2 years old. TWO YEARS OLD. I have different insurane now and have no idea who to call. Grr.

Sorry about the cold. My nose gets Rudolph red when I get sick. I hate that.

Thanks for linking up!!

I think they should fix the medical problem first (to our satisfaction) before we ever get billed! HA! Like that's going to happen. ;)

Hope you feel better soon, and have fun at the movie!

This sounds like the, "laugh when you feel like crying" advice! Tell Baxter I said, "Shape up and let mr. and mrs. e sleep!!!" Not having your test results stinks. Why aren't these doctors considerate enough to realize that you don't want to be sitting around waiting for answers? That is one of my pet peeves. Have fun at the movie and camping!

Hmmm...I wonder what would happen if you called central billing and/or the dr's office and explained (very sweetly and politely, of course) that you are unable to pay them until you know what you are paying them for? That would never work for me - the procedures I've had to go through I've had to pre-pay for. Ridiculous, I say!

I am sooooo jealous of you going to the Sex and the City movie!! I was supposed to go tonight but my best friend is off to a Bon Jovi concert (the things people from New Jersey put on priority... ;) So I'll be going tomorrow night with her! (dragging Seth to it seemed just too cruel!)

I laughed out loud at your letters - especially the Baxter one. I love the "I don't know what happens..."

Enjoy camping and the long weekend!

I love the sarcasm. Baxter sounds like he is still enjoying his puppy phase. This too shall pass my cyber friend.
