Scrambling At School

We have had a whopping 14 days of school since Christmas.  Yikes!  We had the move.  We had snow and ice.  We had a National Holiday. With the funeral, I have only been there for 12 of those 14 days.  And today, progress reports are due.  Ta-da!!

It's hard to have a lot of progress in 14 days.  It's hard to have very many grades in 14 days.  Nevertheless, progress reports are due.

Administration would postpone them a bit if they could, but they can't.  Why?  Parent Teacher Conferences are this week.  Administration knows we need something to show parents.  (I mean, besides the beautiful new building!)  So, progress reports are due.

Any idea what I'm doing this week?  Scrambling.  I think all the teachers of Tiny Town are scrambling.  Thankfully, I think we've got scrambling down to an art after the last 2 and a 1/2 years.

Scrambling.  It's what we do.

So, they don't change the date the reports are due when you miss school because of snow? We were really confused after the break because we had no idea when we were suppose to send out the report cards! I completely missed one of my schools. Oh well! :D

Couldn't they change it since there's really not as much to report on? just sayin. . . .

No, changing really isn't an option. The calendar is set an entire year before. Days are shortened to accomodate conferences and the school calendar is too full to change. In fact, I'm not sure there would be an another empty week. You'd think it would be easy, but it isn't.

At least scrambling makes the week go by faster? The best I can do, dearie. :)
