And It Is Over

My students did really well on our State Assessments.  I was so proud of them.  I hadn't asked for an extension with all the snow days.  I could have. I am always going to second guess myself and wonder if I should have.  We didn't have 100%.  Would it have made a difference?  I don't know.  But I do know...

*95.7% of my students were at or above standards.
*72% were in the top two categories- exceeded standards or exemplary.
*We scored no lower than a 70% on any one standard.
*Many students exceeded the predictions on the MAPS test taken earlier in the year.
*We're not completely done.  Six students still have to finish the assessment.

I'm breathing a sigh of relief for this year, and at the same time I'm already planning for next year.  It never really ends...

100% of our students have to make standards next year.  *gulp*  Let the ulcers begin!

Congratulations! And what a relief to be done.

How is it possible for 100 percent of the students to make standards? Anyway, I'm glad it went well for you and the students.

That is great! Yikes, 100% next year?

I finally blogged about what's been going on in our family. We need all of the prayers we can get right now.

I have to say those numbers seem unreal after 3 years of numbers that are no where close (and a majority of families that think approaching is meeting...) Sigh... And considering that the high schools in the city have somewhere around a 50% grad rate --- could you imagine!? 50% of this year's seniors graduating and 50% failing out?? Anyway- Congrats!! We still have until the end of April before we start testing!
