Beautiful Saturday

Began the day with a 3 mile run just as the sun was coming up.  It was a good run, and it wasn't even very difficult.

L is here for the weekend.  (Escaping Fake Patty's Day in U town.) When I got home from my run, the Mr. took all of his girls to breakfast at the local cafe.  (CT is on a trapping trip with friends.)

When the Mr. went off to work, the girls headed shopping for maternity clothes for K.  The baby bump is making getting dressed a little more challenging for her these days.

Tonight, we are headed to pick out fabric for Mom E.'s old glider.  It is going to be part of the baby nursery, but it needs a bit of reupholstering.  I think we are meeting the Mr.'s little brother and his wife for dinner.  It will be good to catch up with them, too.

Meanwhile, L is doing laundry, we're watching movies, and the plan is to walk the dogs.

Some Saturdays are darn near perfect!

Sounds great. We just discovered that someone didn't lock the stand-up freezer door,so guess who's marathon cooking and who's saving close to 300 lbs. of still frozen beef (only the stuff on the door thawed) and defrosting the freezer? I'm the cook, he's the freezer tech. Meanwhile our tax stuff (his work) lay on the dining room table and the students' notebooks to be graded sit in the crate I brought them home in.
So to be cooked: ground turkey for tacos, slow cook beef stroganoff, slow cook beef roast, swiss steak (all to be stored in meal sizes and frozen) and grilled steak for dinner tonight.
Off I go--was just taking a break!
