Catch Up Saturday

I spent Thursday night at L's apartment, then went to the Doctor with her on Friday.  She is still on crutches and is to keep weight off the foot for at least two more weeks.  (They did give her a boot.)  Living on a 3rd floor apartment means this is a nightmare.

We went to the grocery store and stocked her fridge and cupboards for the next week.  (Several trips up and down the stairs for me.)  We picked up a backpack to use in place of her purse and as a way to carry anything.  Even if she wants to go to the apartment pool, she needed a way to carry a bottle of water and a towel.  She has a conference every day next week, so I think she is ready to go.

Today is the first day I have been home by myself in over a week.  Having L here was nice.  The days we had the Bug were quite fun.  I'm guessing today will be....quiet.

Ah.....the reading, the movies on DVR, the work that needs to be done to get ready for school....!  To say nothing of putting the house back together.  Yeah, reading and movies are going to have to wait.  House and School are first today, then maybe time for playing.

There's a good chance I am going to spend part of the day convincing Baxter that the Lady Bug isn't here.  He goes from room to room looking for her.  Saddest thing ever.  I think I bore him to tears.  He needs someone pulling his tail, puking on the floor, and sharing his dog food.  The Bug hands him his bones.  I hope he doesn't think I'm going to spend the day doing that!

If Baxter starts singing "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face" I'll be sure to post a video of the singing dog to youtube.

Today could be a long day.

Sounds like you have been busy. Hope L gets better soon. I hated crutches all the times I spent on them.

With all the climbing of the stairs you did, you didn't have to worry about taking a run!
Poor Baxter, losing his playmate! Maybe you should get another dog! (ha, ha!)

Hope L is off the crutches soon. Perhaps Baxter could become a star of stage and screen and make you a fortune...
