4th Sunday of Advent

When it's almost Christmas...

the grocery shopping list is long.

Packages are wrapped. (Well, a couple are--just stockings at our house this year.)

Stockings are stuffed.  (We're helping Santa out.)

Baxter has made peace with the tree by sleeping under it.  (Kiley, his predecessor, did likewise.)

Christmas music plays on every car trip.

Seasonal movies and specials fill the DVR.

Rum slush is freezing; champagne and wine are chilling.  (OJ and Diet Cherry 7-Up for the little ones.)

The house needs one more sweep, dust, and scrub.

Family begins to arrive just in time to help with cookie decorating and candy making.

And all seems right with our world.
