A View from this Sunday

Yesterday, I climbed to the top of a hill on the way to U-town.  It is a short 10 minute hike, but I forgot how steep the climb is.  (No mountains around here, but some lovely hills.)

But the view....the view is always worth it.
Yes, everyone needs a hill with a howitzer at the top of it.  (I guess that is what it is.  Tanks aren't really my thing.)

You see that car down there in the parking area?  That's where I started.  Rocks, sunshine, quite a bit of wind--and big guns...everything needed to make a perfect hike.  (Well, I don't know if you need tanks/guns.)  If you heard heavy breathing, I'm pretty sure it was me.

Is spring around the corner?  I doubt it, but it felt like it yesterday.

"Me thinks that the moment my legs begins to move, my thoughts begin to flow."   Thoreau

Here's to flowing thoughts and moving legs.

I've never climbed that hill, but have seen it many, many times. Maybe next time...

I've often wondered what it looked like from up there. It's nice to see it without having had a heart attack to get there. That climb looks daunting.
