Happy Birthday, Dad!

Today is Dad's birthday.  I have inservice, so I made a trip to the farm yesterday to celebrate a bit.

The Mr. had to work and Dad and B were headed to a concert in the afternoon, so I made a trip to the farm for morning coffee.  I took him his present.

K and the little Buggy went with me as a bit of a surprise.  I'm pretty sure that was better than any thing I could have taken him.  She warmed up fairly fast and was quire interested in exploring.

The Bug especially loved the farm cats, and she spent quite a bit of time looking at them through the window.
Coffee, a warm fire, a nice visit, and cats to occupy the Bug--quiet celebrations are becoming my favorite. And the farm at this time of year is beautiful!

Buggy said her goodbyes to Grandma B, but had to watch her Great Papa at the farm feed the cats before we left.  She was a pretty good present to take to the man who never wants more "stuff."  And her enjoyment tromping out to see the cats might just be sign that more than just a few from the next generation are going to enjoy the old farm place, too. And that may be the best gift of all.

Happy Birthday, Dad!  Love you!

I LOVE her pink leggings. I have had to buy Luca a pale pink shirt to the horror of my husband lol :-) x
