Random Information

*Favorite breakfast:  Peanut butter and toast.  (Pathetic, I know.  I think it is a holdover from childhood.)

*Confusion irritates me.  I don't understand kids/people on Facebook who change their names.  I have to go back to their profile and search for a photo to see if I can figure out who it is.  And while I'm at it, requiring maiden names would be nice.

*I'm reading two books on academic writing for next year.  Obviously, they have done nothing to help my blog writing.  Actually, both books are quite good sources for teaching writing.   (Do as I say, not as I do.)

*Packing for Vegas is challenging.  The Mr. and I are sharing a carry on.  That's it.  (OK.  I have a purse and he has a camera bag/man bag.)  Obviously, we aren't taking much.

*I think I got sold a bill of goods on the running shoes the Mr. bought me for my birthday.  My feet and legs have been hurting after every walk or run since.  *argh!  Running shoes are too expensive to replace already.

*Tiny Town water is dreadful.  It always has been.  We lug in five gallons ($1.85) at a time from local stores for drinking.  Ice tea and coffee look much nicer without the film of yuck on top of them!

*Favorite flower: peonies.  We had snow and cold so late in the spring, they are jut blooming.  Beautiful!

*I could sleep the clock around.  Clean sheets, comfy bed, cool mornings, and nowhere to go mean that I really have to drag myself out.

*Best summer find so far:  Redd's Apple Ale.  I usually don't like beer.  This is a beer that tastes like wine.  I like that.

Plans for today:  cleaning and rearranging the storage room in the basement.  Perfect timing since Tiny Town has garage sales on Saturday.  I imagine that I will find a few things to get rid of.   Sounds like a fun time, doesn't it?!

I can't imagine sharing a carry-on! Obviously, you are more decisive than I am. Have a wonderful time! I need to have cleaning up the basement on my list, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to drift to the top anytime this month. There's always next month, right?!

I had the same thing happen with my new shoes! I can hardly bear to put them on because I hurt so much when I take them off. It's crazy.

3 college kids home equals a basement that looks like Hoarders vomited into it. Anytime the doorbell rings, I expect the Hoarders intervention team to be on the other side.
