Let's See...

I "Whistled a Happy Tune" yesterday and saw The King and I.  The Mr. and I took niece Lu with us.  She is a fan of Braum's German Chocolate ice cream also, so it was a good day all the way around.  (Always... ice cream after the show.)

The only wet blanket on my whistling--a touch of a stomach bug and an eye that has done that whonky bloodshot thing.  Yeah, I am really quite lovely to see.

The Mr. would tell you the wet blanket was having to park 4 1/2 blocks away from the theater.  He let Lu and me out and then spent another 15 minutes trying to park.  (You couldn't buy a parking space in the theater parking lot.)  I told him if he wanted to find a bar and watch the ballgame, I'd understand.  But...he made it in before show time.  Bless his heart!  He's really adjusting to all this music theater stuff.  Though maybe he thinks of it as his Sunday afternoon nap...!

We saw old friends on Saturday night.  Their Mr. used to be the young pup on my Mr.'s coaching staff.  He's 50 now.  We had a hand in orchestrating their love match and were part of their wedding festivities.  We watched the arrival of their first born.  Their son was about two when they left town, and he is 14 now.  Time has a way of getting away from us, but it is nice to know that we can always pick up right where we left off.  Though, we really shouldn't wait so long next time!

My sewing machine needs to go to the sewing machine ER.  It is a desperate situation!

Other than that, early morning walks make me long for a nap...sometimes by 9:00 in the morning.  And I'm seriously considering that this morning!!

I loved "The King and I." Those old-fashioned musicals are much more in my wheelhouse than some of the newer ones. We don't have season tickets, but Randy usually buys me tickets to one show for my birthday. Have a good week, Mrs. E!
