Baptism Day

Baby E's Day
We traveled to Big City for the Baptism at L and CB's church. We had breakfast at their house prior to the service.  The plan was to take pictures after the service at the church.  Church let out, and it had all the looks of a blizzard outside.  Darn it!  Pictures were skipped, and everyone hit the road.  Here are a few that I managed to capture.  Yes, I was THAT person, taking photos with my phone in church.  Yikes!

He wore a baptism gown that was Papa's and also Papa's baby ring.  And he was such a good boy.  (Though there were a few squeaks, and he was quickly handed back to his Mama!)

All of CB's family and our family were able to be at his baptism. He was quite surrounded by love.

I have to end with this song that their church sings every Sunday as the children gather for their time/sermon.  (I found a video of the song on youtube, even though it is some kindergarten graduation.)  So sweet. And quite fitting today.

I am a promise
I am a possibility
I am a promise with a capital "P"
I am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I am learnin' to hear God's voice
And I am tryin' to make the right choice
I am a promise to be anything God wants me to be.

I can go anywhere that He wants me to go
I can be anything He wants me to be
I can climb the high mountains
I can cross the wide sea
I'm a great big promise you see!

I am a promise
I am a possibility
I am a promise with a capital "P"
I am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I am learnin' to hear God's voice
And I am tryin' to make the right choice
I'm a promise to be anything God wants me to be
Anything God wants me to be!

Yes, Little E is a promise.

Glad you had such a lovely celebration and were able to capture a few clandestine photos to mark the day.

The words to that song can be applied to any of us, no matter what our age. We are all still works in progress.

God's blessings on all of you.
