Another Great October Weekend

We had another full weekend. U town's home game was a bit of a disaster, but the Mr. and I enjoyed the U town tailgating crowd.

Even this little pup couldn't bring the U town team any luck.

We went home and had a hot dog/marshmallow roast with Mr. and Mrs. Judge and Lu. This beautiful fall weather was screaming for a fire in the fire ring or chiminea.

Today, the CT family, and the Mr. and I met the CB family at a park for lunch. The kids played on the slides and teeter totters, and rode the train and carousel. It was a great day for enjoying the park.
A wonderful afternoon, and then we came home to this:

This will be year #2 of fighting the blight in the neighborhood.  Those are dried grass pinwheel/tumbleweeds. They are impossible to rake or bag. They are too lightweight, so they just blow. Looking at the weather forecast for tonight, my front door will be blocked by these in the morning. I'd set fire to them, but the whole neighborhood would probably go up. *sigh! We need to find the pasture, yard, or field responsible for this and mow it or burn it for them next year.

Great weekend, I'm just not sure the week ahead is looking too promising. If you don't hear from me, I'll be the one buried under mounds of dried grass pinwheels!

It's fun to see the photos of your grands. They are grand indeed. It's unbelievable how quickly they grow and change. And let's not talk about the game. We stayed 'til the bitter end, but it was painful. As my sister says, it was like homecoming in the 1970s. Have a great week!
