I spent the morning stowing flip flops, shorts, tank tops, and sandals and digging out the sweaters, sweatshirts, and boots. My closet is cleaned and organized.
In the afternoon I needed to make a trip to the local nursery. My next door neighbor was out in the yard when I left, and I stopped to ask if she wanted to go along. Her husband was the good gardener I wrote about here and here. She wants to use part of his memorial for landscaping at the local nursing home where he spent the last few months of his life. He would have liked that. So she grabbed her purse and rode along.
I think this garden place nursery isn't very well known in the area. It is only 3 years old and out in the country a bit. I was surprised at how charming the whole place was. It was absolutely the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Of course, it doesn't hurt that the fall pumpkins and flowers are so colorful.
We happened to hit on their fall open house weekend, so they served hot cider and cookies.

That nursery is so adorable and sweet! Sometimes I think you live ina story book. Maybe its that prince you have that sits with you for 4 hours around a fire. You two are adorable.
