Weekend in Pictures

From the moment we arrived, it was almost as if B had ordered a perfect weekend. We were probably a week late for prime fall foliage, but it didn't matter when you had these colors greeting you.I loved the sunrise over the lake...
the view from B's deck...
the time to relax and
to watch the fishermen headed out.
B cooked for us and spoiled us rotten.
We had plenty of time to catch up on husbands, kids, parents, and siblings.
We took walks to enjoy lake country.

The views were spectacular.
After sunset, time for a glass of wine
and more talk of old times and our weekends to come.
We used to hunt boys;
now, just our reading glasses.
Thirty-five years later-
still just three high school friends.

It's a very rare treasure when people stay in touch and remain friends for that long. I really enjoyed your pictures.

I agree with Debbie, its rare and special to stay in touch that long. The only person who knew me as a teenager is Dagmar, and even that was from half a world away.
Thank-you for your explanation of Dippin Dots...they sound kind of like Dibs...which is little bite sized squares of white ice cream coated in chocolate.
And oh, I love the colours of that first photo!

This looks so wonderful! I hope I can have a tradition like this years from now with my best friends!

Looks like a wonderful time. I haven't stayed in touch with any friends from high school or college, so know not what this is like. At least I have my sisters.

You haven't said anything about "The Assignment"

Oh, you did get some amazing images. And, what a wonderful time you had. There is no blessing like time with old friends, is there?
