Mother of the Bride

I'm giving you a head's up.  If you don't want to hear wedding stories or see wedding pictures, this would be a good week to avoid Easy Street.  There are quite a few moments to share.

My girls always make me so proud.  They are pretty terrific people, besides being adorable.  (Yes.  I'm their mother, so I might be a bit prejudiced!)
A few of you have asked to see my dress.  K actually tried it on first when we were shopping back in June.  Since she wasn't buying it, I asked to try it on and she encouraged me to buy it.  She knows black is one of my favorite colors to wear, and she didn't mind her mom wearing black to her wedding.  It is the most comfortable and forgiving dress I have ever owned. (It hides some of those body flaws I'd like to avoid sharing!)  And I have a hunch that K may be borrowing this dress in the future, which could explain why she encouraged me to buy it!
It's not a great photo but you can see the tier dress.  You're missing the pink shoes.  That will be another post.

The following series are pictures of the Mr. and me at the reception.  Notice the reading glasses on top of my head.  Yep.  They are in almost every picture.  Gads!!  My sister reminded me to take them off a couple of times, but...!
My sister was taking pictures and wanted to catch a kiss.  She missed it.  Every.  Time.

 It got funnier and funnier.
At this point I was losing it.  Yeah.  She never got a kiss captured!
We spent a lot of our weekend looking back, thinking back to when we were first married and to when K and her sister were little girls.  Time goes so fast.  There have been so many wonderful times, that I wouldn't have missed a moment of it!

While we were looking back, K and CT are looking ahead to a long, happy life together!
I hope they enjoy every minute as much as they enjoyed the last few days.  They've been surrounded by a lot of love.  And I hope they are for the rest of their lives.  You can't really ask for more than that! Tomorrow--Let's start with the Wedding Day.

I really like the picture of you 'losing it'!:)

The groom's blue shirt really brings out his blue eyes--great coordination of colors!

And yes, you do like a sister to your daughters. I've thought that all along.

Beautiful pictures---bring on the rest of them!
