A Thankful November- Part I

A month of Thankfulness on Facebook is almost half over.  Here are my blessings:

November 14th- I am thankful for small town churches and church families. I'm also grateful that faith isn't limited to Sundays and churches.

November 13th- I am thankful for my daughters. They have cost me more hours of sleep through the years than I can count, but they are by far the best thing I have to show for my life.

November 12- I am thankful for the different seasons in the Midwest. I love them all!

November 11th- I'm thankful for those who have fought for our liberty in the past, present, and will in the future. I'm also thankful for the Dad who is taking my sophomore boy to lay wreaths at the military memorials in several towns this morning. What a great way to teach respect for the sacrifices made.

November 10th- I'm thankful for our small town and the people who work to make sure this town is a great place to raise families.

November 9th- I am thankful for good books and great literature. I'd be even more grateful if I had unlimited time to read!

Nov. 8th- I am thankful for youthful enthusiasm: for powder puff football and iron man volleyball and bleached Mohawks and enough energy to power a small city or at least a school!

Nov. 7th- I am thankful for the Mr., who really meant it when he said for better or worse. (He's been tested on that one a bit.) He is a great dad, plus...he starts cars on cold days and makes breakfast--and a mean pot of coffee!

Nov. 6th- I am thankful for comfy blue jeans, worn t-shirts and sweatshirts, and Saturdays when nobody cares what I look like. (OK. Maybe the guys at the cafe wonder why the Mr. ever married me, but breakfast is never my best hour of the day!)

Nov. 5th- I'm thankful to return to a warm house after a cold morning walk. (The frost is on the pumpkin this morning!)

November 4th- I am thankful for coffee, and its ability to jump start my day! (And peppermint mocha creamer is just an added perk!!)

Nov. 3rd- I'm thankful for a job I love, working with people that I love. (And I'm pretty sure I am going to love working in a BUILDING again, too--though that will have to wait until January!)

Nov. 2nd- I am thankful for evening walks, morning runs, and being healthy enough to enjoy both! Oh, and I'm grateful election advertisements will finally be over. In the words of Jim Hightower, "If God had wanted us to vote, he would have given us candidates."

November 1- I am thankful for long weekends and old friends.

At the end of November, you can expect the rest.   I'm giving thanks with a grateful heart!

I like this giving thanks with a grateful heart post. The two best prayers I know are thank you and help me and either one is always apropo. (Jason Gray song Help Me, Thank You)

I saw that peppermint mocha creamer was on clearance at Wal-Mart today. I thought, "Of course it is. Who the heck wants their coffee to take like mints?" Clearly, you people exist.
