Crazy Days

Things have been a bit crazy on Easy Street.  For the last few days, this is what has kept me hopping:

*Decorating our church for Christmas.  (By the way, the pews are coming in today!!)
*A surprise 40th birthday party for a former student's wife who looks to be about 20.
*A funeral home visitation for a high school classmate who died of kidney failure.
*Running three and a half miles on a cold morning.
*Trailer High's pre-season basketball tournament.
*Julius Caesar lesson plans and quizzes and grading.  (We're holding his funeral today!)
*A Christmas party where the entertainment was a 40 minute reading of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. I love that story, but 40 minutes of reading...!
*A clothing/household goods drive that results in "free shopping" for some local people in need.
*Walking Baxter.  Daily.  Usually, twice daily.

How sad is it that the house is decorated for Christmas, and I'm lucky to get a couple of hours to enjoy it?

On schedule:
*A couple more Christmas parties.
*An out of town wedding reception.
*Interviewing for a new city librarian.
*Writing finals for first semester.
*Packing, packing, packing.  It is time to start getting my room ready for the move in January.
*Packing, packing, packing.  L is moving back to U town at the end of the month.  She is subleasing for 2nd semester.
*A girl's night at the theater.
*Family Christmas at the farm.

'Tis the Season...!  (And only 10 more days in Trailer High!  Well, school days!)

My goodness you have been busy! Make sure you take some time to stop and relax. You don't want to be too exhausted to enjoy it all. :)
