Behind Behind Behind

The Mr. and his siblings and spouses spent yesterday emptying his mom's apartment. We had a lot of laughs and no problem deciding on who should take what.  Thankfully, there was no family drama. (Thanks, Mom E.  I know you had a hand in that!)  The apartment was empty when we left at 4:30.  And now?

I am so incredibly behind:

*School.  I have a bag of papers to grade, names to put in the grade book now that 2nd semester enrollment is complete, and grades to put in the grade book once the papers are graded.  (I'm pretty sure there are going to be some missing assignment forms to fill out and calls to make, too.)  *sigh*  Just thinking about it makes my head hurt.  The one thing I might have going for me is that when I left our school computer server was still not up and running since the move. That means the kids and parents can't see the grade book on power school.  Is it wrong that I wouldn't care if it took them a couple more days to get it running?!!

*Home.  I am facing a disaster of a house.  I need to clean.  (Should I wait for spring cleaning?!!)

*Unpacking.  I have several boxes of things from Mom E.'s apartment.  I need to unpack and then decide whether to display or store.  There are things to haul to L's apartment.  K and CT got roped into helping load and unload and took home a few things, but there are more things we need to divvy up.  Right now I'm looking at stacks and boxes and it makes me exhausted. The "Target" store in my basement (L's term), now has some random furniture, lamps, and linens that I need to sort through.

*Thank you notes.  There were flowers, food, and memorial money.  I have quite a few thank you notes to get into the mail. I'd leave it to the Mr., but we don't usually send out Easter cards--and I have a feeling that is how long it would take!

Right now, it is all hanging over my head.  And...

I might go to bed and pull the covers over my head!

It gets like that at times, but eventually it all clears. Yeah, our basement has been that way for quite awhile with first his parents, then mine, and then him moving up here. We're making progress though---lots!
I liked that comment about the Easter cards--that's more me ---my husband is much better about notes when it's important.
Will be thinking of you and praying for you as you catch up.

I wish I lived closer so I could help with the cleaning or data entry or neatening up the Target Store de la Easy Street. Or maybe even cook dinner? Think of the bright side: when you're finally finished, flowers will be in bloom! Hooray flowers! :)

That must've been a huge relief that there was no arguing about who gets what. Don't let it get to you...everything will eventually get done.

I agree with Mary.... it always gets done, eventually.
