Sometimes...

Sometimes weeks just get too cram packed for words.  This last week has been one of those.

Just about an hour ago, the Mr.'s mom died.
What will I remember?  Her laugh.  How happy she always was.  Her sense of humor.  How much she loved us.
This was taken on her 80th birthday, almost three years ago now.  How she loved her grandchildren!
This is one of my favorite photos of her.
The best thing about Mom E.:  she raised the best sons.  They were devoted to her and to the women in their lives.  And I think right now she is reuniting with the love of her life--who had a great deal to do with the kind of men those boys became, too.

"And He will raise us up on Eagle's wings, bear us on the breath of dawn, make us to shine like the sun, and hold us in the palm of His hand."

Sorry for this loss of a lovely woman in your family. What a wonderful tribute to her. You can bet she is reunited with her love, and one day all of you will be reunited again.

I think you did just great with your words. It was a beautiful tribute. I feel the same way about my in-laws. I am grateful every day for the job they did raising their son. While we miss them and their participation in this life on earth, I still feel their influence in their children, their grandchildren, the farm, the church ... so many ways. And, by the way, we used "On Eagles' Wings" for my mom-in-law's funeral. Thinking of all of you today and in the days ahead.

What a lovely tribute! I would love to be remembered that way - happy, in love with my grandkids, and having done a great job raising my children. There isn't a better way to spend a life.

My heart goes to the Mr. and your family. Hugs and peace going out to you, girl....
