Adorable Little Girls

Maybe it is because I'm going to be a grandma to a little girl in August, but everywhere I look are adorable little girls.

At the grocery store last night, a cute little girl stood in the cart and unloaded every single item onto the conveyor belt at the checkout stand.  (Mom was right behind her and just let her at it.)  She told me this was "her job" and it was hard, but "I can do it."  She also told me about her glittery flip flops and her painted toes.  Oh, and the marshmallows are for a "fire where we melt them."  I left that ridiculously crowded store smiling.

Then on our walk a little later, a darling little girl was on the sidewalk when K and I went by with the dogs.  She told us she just loved dogs and "Oh, I want to pet that little white and brown dog."  (She has no idea how Baxter loves to jump on people.)  She "just loves dogs" and "I really like that little one."  She wanted her own little white and brown dog.  She followed us down the street, talking as she went.  Too cute.

In church on Sunday, a newborn baby girl made an appearance with her parents.  She was just beautiful in her pink and black polka dot Sunday best.  Just a little tiny snuggle bug who we were all fighting for a chance to hold!

Yep, the little girl gods are torturing me with the wait.

if you'd settle for a wispy-headed, fruit snack-encrusted nutball, i could have her on your doorstep in less than 2 hours to help with your wait...
