Over

Parent Teacher conferences are over for the year.  In spite of my fears concerning research papers, the parents were understanding and conferences were painless.

On the other hand, leaving Facebook and Pinterest behind hasn't been painless.  I miss them.

The upside is that without Pinterest and Facebook, I have found time for a few other things: reading the paper, catching up on blog world, and sifting through the stack of magazines that I've been ignoring.

By the way, who knew there was a site out there called Houzz?  It is awesome!  There are so many things we need to do around the house, and this website has wonderful ideas and pictures.  OK.  I'm not sure trading in one set of bad habits for another was exactly what I had in mind, but it sure is nice to see some ideas for front steps and landscaping!

I have a three day weekend ahead.  I'm babysitting the Lady Bug tonight, while her momma works the last home game of the year.  The Mr. is helping CT and his dad butcher a cow.  K, the Bug, and I are joining them to help on Saturday.  The Mr.'s first "career" as a meat cutter still comes in handy from time to time.

In the meantime, I am on the last two weeks of the Spring Play.  We don't have a lot of rehearsal time, but we go every night for the next two weeks.  There is a lot to do, but I have high hopes that it will all come together and be a success.

We are also on the last two weeks before State Assessments.  I'm not sure how those will go.  I am doing my best, but time will tell.  (After the research papers, I make no promises!)  I have high hopes that it will all come together and be a success.  (Noticing a theme here?)

Yes, conferences are over, and some of the most hectic times of my year are almost over, too.  Nothing like cramming it all into just a couple of weeks.

Chugging up that mountain.  "I think I can. I think I can."
