Summer Saturday

Normally, my Saturdays are pretty hectic; I'm always trying to catch up on a week's worth of home chores in one day or finish school work that I didn't get through during the week.  Summer Saturdays are sometimes pretty lazy. I like that.

We had a sleepover with the Bug last night.  Mommy and Daddy were keeping a Chicago friend's little one. Rather than try to juggle two kids, the Buggy spent the night with Papa and Nana Coco.  She went to bed at 7:30.  She is exhausted from entertaining the kids at her new babysitter's house.  From every picture the sitter sends her Momma, she looks to be a busy, busy child and in the middle of everything.  No wonder she is so pooped!
Mommy and Daddy picked her up early this morning to head to her other grandparent's for the weekend.  Now, I have the day to myself with the Mr. at work.

Movie?  Book?  Finish the cleaning upstairs?  Nothing terribly exciting, but there's nothing like a free Saturday. Oh, and I'm pretty sure Baxter will think he is due for a little babying today, since somebody kind of trumped his attention last night.
He looks so neglected, doesn't he? Yeah.  NO.  Spoiled maybe, but neglected...never.

Summers are good.  Saturdays are good.  Summer Saturdays are great!

We are in the middle of a free Saturday right now and I am loving every minute of it. What a blessing these long, slow days are.
