Not the Smartest

The thermometer has been above 100 for several days.  Hot winds gust and blow.  Lawns are dry. Ditches are full of native grasses that are brown and brittle.  These are ideal fire conditions.

Today, it begins:  selling fireworks for the 4th of July.

I'm guessing that fire departments are gearing up for a busy few days.

By tonight, we will be trying to figure out what time of day we can get Baxter to go to the bathroom.  He is not a fan of fireworks.  (Much like me!) He might act all big and tough, but he is a wuss where fireworks are concerned.  (He has "little dog" syndrome.)

The water hose is hooked up and ready.  (We live in a neighborhood of firework crazed adults and kids.)

Hot windy days plus fire.  What a great way to celebrate.  ?
