I managed to work at school yesterday from 9-1:30 or so. I got quite a few things done.
The individual class folders are done. My Sub folder is ready. I've made copies of some first day papers, and I put tabs in my Teaching Agenda. The Stagecraft teacher and I even met for an hour or so on play related things. Progress.
Last evening, we had our district Back-To-School picnic. It was good to see everyone. We are all in the same state of trying to get ready, while holding on to summer! It's a balancing act.
So today...
I'm spending the morning getting a pedicure and a manicure. It is my treat for actually working yesterday.
And then...
I'll be at school all afternoon.
Because...
The weekend is a scheduled mini vacation with the Mr..
And...
Monday, it all begins.

These back-to-school posts make me miss the fact that I'm not going back to school this fall. For the past 4 years, August has still been a summer month for me since school starts so late in NYC... but this year, August is making me miss teaching and starting a new year!! I almost wish the baby had been due a little earlier so I wouldn't notice as much or miss the no classroom/new school year! Hope you get everything done and ready so you can enjoy your weekend vacation!! (Where are you guys going by the way??)
