Snow, Honey Vanilla Chamomile Tea, and Codeine Cough Syrup

Yesterday was a snow day on Easy Street.  There were a lot of late starts, but not very many cancellations for schools in our state.  Tiny Town had 3 or 4 inches of snow with a solid layer of ice under that.

When we don't have school, we can't have play practice.  So, I'm crossing another practice off of my list.  Yikes.

In spite of no play practice, I think someone was looking out for me.  Scratchy throat and cough started on Tuesday afternoon.  I felt really crummy yesterday.  I would have gone to school.  I would have had practice.  I'm just thinking it was probably a good thing I didn't.

I spent the day under a blanket with a book, a couple of cups of hot Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea, and some codeine cough syrup.  The codeine in the cough syrup also meant a zonked out, drooling nap.

Not one of my finer days.

(But I highly recommend the Celestial Seasonings Honey Vanilla Chamomile tea.  Thanks. Sister-in-law A!)

I'm sorry you're feeling poorly and hope you are soon feeling much better. A friend sent me a box of Celestial Teas and the honey, vanilla chamomile was the first one I tried and I love it.

Be well ~ FlowerLady

LOL at the drooling nap, have had a few of those myself. That tea sounds wonderful, even when your're not sick. Must see if they have that here.
