Rain, Coffee, and Literature

Gentle rains are falling on Easy Street this morning.  Yea!  We have needed the moisture.

Of course, I didn't want to get out of bed.  *sigh

Without a walk to start my day, I am relying on coffee to get me through discussion of A Separate Peace and "Our Town" rehearsals.

Rehearsals are going really well.  The director, of course, still has a lot to do--but we're getting there.  Publicity pictures and the wedding scene rehearsal are on tap for tonight.

A Separate Peace is one of those books that the kids either love or hate. The sophomores are off to a good start this year.

And of course, I still have research papers to grade.

The rain may be the only gentle part of my day, so I'm grabbing another cup of coffee... or two.

You've taken me back more than a few years to reading A Separate Peace in high school in the mid to late 70s. I was one of those kids who absolutely love it...I'll have to look for it in my bookshelf!
