A Bug's Life

We kept the Bug last night for a few hours to give Daddy a break.

When he dropped her off, he said she hadn't had a nap.  Without sleep, her attention span is about a nano-second.

In the first 20 minutes, she had:

colored in a coloring book
played the piano
drug out the doll and her bottle
sat on the front steps blowing bubbles
played every game app on the Nook
fallen off the ottoman
climbed Papa's chair and had to be rescued from going over the back of it
found the stuffed puppy who plays "Are You Sleeping?"
watched about 3 minutes of "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse"
and played with items on a shelf that aren't Buggy approved

*sigh!  I was exhausted.

Finally, we took Baxter out to wait for Papa.

When Little Big Brother, sweet SIL, and the two nieces decided to walk their new dog to our house, Buggy was thrilled.  Ten minutes after they arrived, she was sound asleep on Papa's shoulder.

We let her sleep for about 45 minutes, then woke her for a bath and supper.  She cried all through bath, ate supper in her PJ's, and was sound asleep again in about 30 minutes.

Daddy took her home, put her to bed, and she slept until 5:30 this morning.

It is exhausting being a kid! Heck, it is exhausting being a Nana!
