I hope the procedure leaves you with less pain in your mouth because my guesstimate for the "pain" in your wallet is $2,000 by the time you get the crown. I'm sorry the weather today doesn't seem conducive to a walk in the park following the root canal, though that's my personal recommendation. Good luck!
Dental Insurance doesn't pay for much. I think parents should encourage all of their children to become dentists or orthodontists. They then can live in the lap of luxury. And maybe if the parents were good parents, they can catch the over-flow. There certainly is enough wealth to spread around. (BTW, I'll say at least $1200.00 to $1500.00 for one stinking tooth. LOL)
why would i want to endanger your health by telling you the bill???? lol. i am still walking around with the temporary crown i got a year ago. until it decides to bail on me i am not paying for a permanent one. pooh pooh, so far so good.
Yikes! My husband needed a crown replaced and it was near $800. Then adding root canal to that...it's too much money to think about, mrs. e. Good luck and I hope the dentist decides to give you a discount price, just because!
Up here in Canada, my crown alone cost me $900. Thankfully I had 50% coverage for that. The root canal was done while still on my parent's insurance so I don't know what the total bill would have been for a single tooth. Glad to still have the tooth though... I guess that somewhat offsets the cost :)
